Help Us Light the Plaza Permanently!

Restored Town Clock and Plaza Dedication Sept. 30th

Help us get to our goal — permanent lighting in the St. Johns Plaza and the clock restoration! With the help of grants we are close to our goal … you can get us the rest of the way.

The St. Johns Boosters are a nonprofit operating from membership fees, grants, and donations from generous parties. Our tax identification number is 93-6031813. Thank you.

Part of St. Johns since the late 1970s, St. Johns Plaza offers our neighborhood a unique community space in the heart of our business district. Over the years, this Plaza has hosted the Farmers Market, the St. Johns Bizarre, plant sales, Cake Luck, the community tree lighting, and much more.

The St. Johns Plaza is located along N Philadelphia Ave between N Lombard and Ivanhoe Streets in the heart of the St. Johns business district. When you visit you will see why our slogan is “Small Town in a Big City.”

Working with the community and city government, the St. Johns Boosters altered traffic flow during the 1970s positively changing the character of the downtown and improving the safety and livability of residents. The St. Johns Plaza is owned by the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) and managed by the St. Johns Boosters. To schedule an event please go to the St. Johns Boosters Marquee Signs and Plaza page to send a short message about the dates and type of event you are planning.

If you want to know what events are scheduled for the Plaza, go to the Boosters’ Events Calendar.
